Theme Park belongs in the former camp - a combination theme park sim (complete with cheesy looking cutscenes), managerial training sim, and corporate negotiations sim! All of the micro-managing the game has you do can be tedious at times (and is partly why I think this game didn't catch on more,) but once you get used to all of the different responsibilities attached to running your own theme park, it's an extremely rewarding game.
